Celebrate Henry's 10th Birthday by raising funds for scholarships.
Every February, the Leaders in Training community pauses to honor Henry—a bright light whose life continues to inspire love, generosity, and hope.
The Honoring Henry Scholarship was created in his memory to ensure that Henry’s legacy lives on through opportunity. Through this scholarship, first-generation students are supported at one of the most critical moments of their lives: the transition from high school to what comes next.
This is more than financial aid.
This is belief, wrapped in action.

This year, the Honoring Henry Scholarship will support Cohort 11—
24 first-generation high school seniors preparing to graduate and pursue their post-secondary paths.
“I feel more confident.”

That is Henry’s legacy in motion.
Why the Honoring Henry Scholarship Matters
For many of LIT’s students, college is not just a dream—it’s a leap into the unknown.
Hidden fees. Enrollment deposits. Books. Housing costs.
Expenses that families often cannot plan for—and students are afraid to name.
As one LIT Leader shared:
“I had no job. I had no money. There were so many hidden fees I didn’t even know about.”
The Honoring Henry Scholarship steps into that moment—not just to help students pay a bill, but to remind them they are not alone.
